In this post, we have discussed two very simple methods to download a YouTube video and add the YT Video to your KineMaster Video Editing project. Using this method, you will be able to download the videos directly from social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and directly add to your KineMaster video.
First Method : Recording the screen from the YouTube video
In this method, we use the preinstalled screen recorder app from the smartphone to record the video using the screen recording feature. This video can be trimmed in KineMaster and then the video can be added to the KineMaster editing project to further edit the videos.
1) Open the preinstalled screen recorder app in your smartphone. For a lot of smartphones including iPhones, Redmi smartphones and some other mobiles, the screen recorder app is preinstalled. In some cases, you may need to install a third party screen recording app for the Google Play Store to record your phone screen.
2) Go to settings and select the best resolution available (Full HD or 4K) to record the video clip on your screen in the best quality available. In the settings tab, set the resolution to 16:9 or landscape to record the video in full screen or horizontal mode.
3) Open the YouTube app on your phone and search the video you want to record and hit the record button.
Note : Make sure to first start the recording on the screen recorder app and then start the YouTube video playback.
4) Once the video is over, stop the recording and checkout the storage location in which the recorded video is stored.
5) Open the edited project in KineMaster video editing app where the recorded YouTube video clip needs to be added. Now, add the video clip in the KineMaster video editing project from the location where the recorded file is stored.
Note : Make sure to trim the initial and last part of the recorded clip where there is a gap between the start and end of the screen recording and start and end of the video playback.
Our video clip from YouTube is successfully added into our KineMaster video.
Second Method : Downloading the video from third party video download websites or YouTube to MP4 apps.
In this method, the original video clip is directly downloaded from YouTube and added in our KineMaster editing project. This is the simplest method to add a video clip from YouTube to KineMaster video.
1) Open The YouTube app and search the video clip you want to add in your KineMaster video project. Click share and copy the link.
Note : Several websites and apps provide the option of downloading a YouTube video in .MP3, .MP4, .3GP formats. Here we are using yt1s.com to download the YouTube video clip.
2) Open Google Chrome or any web browser on your phone and search yt1s.com. Click on Youtube Downloader and Paste the YouTube video link in the search bar. You can also search the video directly in the search bar and click on the video which you want to download.
3) Select the video resolution and format in which you want to download the video. Always choose the highest resolution available (Eg. 720p, 1080p) to get the best video quality. Click on get link (Be ready to dodge a few popup ads before you get the download link). Now, finally click on the download button.
4) Once the file is downloaded, follow the fifth step from the first method to add the downloaded YouTube video clip in your KineMaster video.
